Cooking
Mix in bowl one cup of Cafe du Monde Beignet Mix and a half cup of ice water. Stir with spoon. For best results, dough should be fairly stiff.
Roll to between one eighth inch and one quarter inch thickness on floured surface, using flour liberally on dough.
Cut into two and a half inch squares. Make about twelve.
Fry in an inch or two of oil at 370 degrees, basting continually on each side until puffy and light golden. Drain well (oil should be hot enough for dough to pop surface in
8 to 10 seconds). Electric skillet works best.
Enjoy while hot. Sprinkle generously with powdered sugar. Serve with a cup of Cafe du Monde Cafe au Lait.
