This Original 16 page Harpers Weekly newspaper was printed August 12, 1865.

(And it was an important station on the newly laid Morse telegraph cable line)

Other illustrations include two views of the Richmond Virginia Election, Center Page of The Laying of the Atlantic Cable (with picture of Morse - the man who developed the Morse code), Map of the World Showing Telegraph Cable Routes, and an early Black liberation cartoon

A little toned, but otherwise in very nice condition for an almost 150 year old newspaper.
